Demartek Adds 8 Gigabit Per Second Fibre Channel Infrastructure to its Test Lab

Demartek announces the addition of 8 Gigabit Per Second (Gbps) Fibre Channel infrastructure to its test lab.
Demartek has added a 24-port 8 Gbps Fibre Channel switch and several 8 Gbps host bus adapters (HBAs),
including single-port and dual-port 8 Gbps HBAs, to it testing resources. All 24 ports of the switch
are fully 8 Gbps capable, and are backward compatible with 4, 2, and 1 Gbps Fibre Channel.
The 8 Gbps Fibre Channel infrastructure can be used for validation testing of native 8 Gbps
Fibre Channel storage and can be used in a virtualized server environment to provide high
aggregate throughput from virtualized servers.
This new 8 Gbps Fibre Channel infrastructure adds to Demartek’s existing 4 Gbps Fibre Channel infrastructure.
