Demartek Publishes Simple SAN White Paper

Microsoft and its storage partners have determined to make Storage Area Networks (SANs)
simple to deploy and manage by creating the Simple SAN program. This Demartek white paper
examines the goals and accomplishments of the Simple SAN program, including actual
deployment of Fibre Channel and iSCSI Simple SAN solutions.
This paper discusses Storage Manager for SANs (SMfS) and File Server Resource Manager (FSRM),
new storage management features included with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. This update
to Windows Server was released in February 2006, and includes basic SAN management and storage
resource management features at no additional charge.
